DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a celebration of our chapter’s 20th anniversary!\nThe Red Barn behind 195 Westside Road\, Healdsburg\nThe celebration will include our annual meeting and supper.\nThere is no cost for the afternoon\, but please register with us for planning purposes at slowfoodsonomacountynorth@gmail.com. \nThe founders and first board members of our chapter will share some stories of the early days and history of Sonoma County North and the changes they have seen. Current board members and project leaders will then give a brief report of the current State of the Chapter. \nThen it’s time to celebrate! We will grill home-made sausages and ask you to bring the rest! Please bring:\n\nAppetizer\, side dish or dessert to share\nYour place setting and glass\nSomething to drink\n\nIf you are not currently a member of Slow Food\, you may join or renew at the meeting with cash or check ($60 per person;$100 per family).

SUMMARY:Tastes & Tales of Terra Madre Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our bi-annual Tastes & Tales of Terra Madre dinner to celebrate Slow Food and our chapter’s three delegates to Italy’s Terra Madre.\nOdd Fellows Hall in Geyserville\n \nSlow Food International holds a bi-annual gathering in Turin\, Italy called Terra Madre Salone del Gusto. Five-thousand delegates from 160 countries\, over 800 exhibitors\, 300 Slow Food Presidia\, and 500 Terra Madre food communities took part in the event in 2016. \nSonoma County North sent three delegates: Rebecca Bozzelli\, Carol Diaz\, and Marie Giacalone. We invite you to join us for Tastes (a four-course dinner) and Tales from our delegates of their adventure at Terra Madre 2016. \nA selection of appetizers will begin the evening\, followed by dinner featuring spring lamb and local wines.  We will enjoy live Latin rhythm music by Steve Trippe and friends. \nThere will be a silent auction for a “100-Mile Dinner” prepared by Sonoma County North leaders and served in the winner’s home. \nThis evening will raise funds to send our delegates to Terra Madre in 2018. \nSlow Food members\, $75 \nNon-members\, $85 \nPurchase tickets at Brown Paper Tickets \nOdd Fellows Hall \n21027 Geyserville Avenue \nGeyserville\, CA 95441 \n\n“The challenge of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2016 for Slow Food was political\, cultural and social: to assert that good\, clean and fair food is a human right\, something we must all feel part of\, and that means loving the earth!\nWe can proudly say that we’ve succeeded in this challenge.”\nGaetano Pascale\, President of Slow Food Italia
