Prizes for the two favorite appetizers will be awarded! (Bringing an appetizer is optional.) \nMENU\nTri-tip\nFarro salad\nCaprese salad\nRoasted peppers\nPotato salad\nCosteaux bread\nDessert\n \n\nBYOB\, place setting\, glass.\nBring a bathing suit if you want to swim in the lake.\n\n  \nCalling their music “old-time Italian\,” Martha Hawthorne and Bill Foss play traditional Italian mandolin tunes and songs that will make you feel transported to  an Italian café. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our bi-annual Tastes & Tales of Terra Madre dinner to celebrate Slow Food and our chapter’s three delegates to Italy’s Terra Madre.\nOdd Fellows Hall in Geyserville\n \nSlow Food International holds a bi-annual gathering in Turin\, Italy called Terra Madre Salone del Gusto. Five-thousand delegates from 160 countries\, over 800 exhibitors\, 300 Slow Food Presidia\, and 500 Terra Madre food communities took part in the event in 2016. \nSonoma County North sent three delegates: Rebecca Bozzelli\, Carol Diaz\, and Marie Giacalone. My research will ‘follow’ two products present in the U.S. Ark of Taste\, the Red Bodega potato and Gravenstein apple. I will do interviews with producers and with those involved in saving the two products. Coming from Italy\, the home of Slow Food\, I want to explore the ways in which the work of this wonderful organization has spread throughout the world\, beginning with the collective effort of individuals that came together for a shared purpose.” \nYou will have the opportunity to meet Astrid at future Sonoma County North events\, especially Tastes & Tales of Terra Madre on May 13!
