(The young chef\, Travis Lett\, says he wanted it to be the “ideal neighborhood joint.”) Recipes in his cookbook offer complex flavors and include lots of yummy salads and vegetables (like pan-seared romanesco with golden raisins\, tahini and sumac) along with pizza (mushrooms and truffle-studded goat cheese)\, pasta (spaghetti with anchovies\, red pepper flakes\, garlic and oregano)\, grains (wild rice with chorizo\, walnuts and pomegranate) and—for those up to the challenge—even make-it-yourself sausage.
