Slow Food International holds a bi-annual gathering in Turin, Italy called Terra Madre Salone del Gusto. Five-thousand delegates from 160 countries, over 800 exhibitors, 300 Slow Food Presidia, and 500 Terra Madre food communities took part in the event in 2016.
Sonoma County North sent three delegates: Rebecca Bozzelli, Carol Diaz, and Marie Giacalone. We invite you to join us for Tastes (a four-course dinner) and Tales from our delegates of their adventure at Terra Madre 2016.
A selection of appetizers will begin the evening, followed by dinner featuring spring lamb and local wines. We will enjoy live Latin rhythm music by Steve Trippe and friends.
There will be a silent auction for a “100-Mile Dinner” prepared by Sonoma County North leaders and served in the winner’s home.
This evening will raise funds to send our delegates to Terra Madre in 2018.

“The challenge of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2016 for Slow Food was political, cultural and social: to assert that good, clean and fair food is a human right, something we must all feel part of, and that means loving the earth!
We can proudly say that we’ve succeeded in this challenge.”
Gaetano Pascale, President of Slow Food Italia
