The Snail of Approval is a prestigious recognition given to food businesses that embody the values of Slow Food: good, clean and fair food for all. This locally run yet internationally recognized program honors establishments that support sustainable food practices. In Sonoma County, the Snail of Approval program is a joint initiative between two local chapters, Sonoma County North and Russian River.

At the 7th annual Snail of Approval awards ceremony, to be held at the Sebastopol Grange, 18 local restaurants, farms, artisan producers, and our new category supporting organizations will be celebrated. Light bites and beverages will be available for guests, providing an opportunity to meet the new award winners, learn about their businesses, and join the growing network of hundreds of Snail of Approval recipients from across the country. This event is a chance to support and discover food businesses that are committed to sustainable, ethical, and high-quality food practices.
